From pre-loading condition checks to final discharge tallies, every service below is carried out by a licensed surveyor and documented to a standard that holds up in a claim.

Draft Surveys

Draft surveys are carried out for bulk shipments to quantify cargo, on request of cargo interests, ship-owners, or insurers. Our surveyors are experienced in accurate draft reading across varying loading conditions, trim, and weather — the areas where inexperienced readings most often go wrong.

Hold Inspection

Pre-loading inspection of cargo holds for cleanliness, structural condition, and suitability for the intended cargo, with photographic evidence and a clear pass/fail finding issued before loading begins.

Condition Survey

Independent assessment of a vessel's condition at a given point in time — used for sale and purchase, charter handover, insurance renewal, or dispute resolution — covering hull, machinery, and equipment as scoped.

On/Off-Hire Survey

Joint or independent surveys at the start and end of a charter period, recording bunker quantities, hull and hold condition, and equipment status to establish a clear baseline for both parties.

Bunker Survey

Measurement and sampling of fuel oil quantities on board, used to verify bunker delivery notes, resolve quantity disputes, and support fuel-related claims with defensible figures.

Quantity & Quality Inspection

Sampling and testing of edible oil, petroleum products, and bulk commodities prior to shipment, verifying compliance with contractual specification and applicable standards.

LOADING & DISCHARGE

Supervision that follows the cargo, not just the paperwork.

Beyond individual surveys, we can supervise an entire loading or discharge operation end to end.

We cover vessel suitability, stowage planning, dunnage, and securing arrangements before loading starts, then provide continuous supervision through loading or unloading with condition and tally reporting throughout.

The goal is straightforward: cargo stowed so it arrives at its destination in the condition it left in, and a clear record if it doesn't. Our experience across bulk, break-bulk, and containerised cargo lets us flag problems before they become claims.

HOW A SURVEY RUNS

From callout to signed report.

You call or submit a request

Tell us the vessel, port, cargo type, and survey needed. We confirm a surveyor and arrival window, usually within a few hours.

On-site inspection

Our surveyor attends the vessel or facility, following the documented method for that survey type, with photographic and measurement evidence collected throughout.

Findings reviewed

Field data is checked by a senior surveyor before it's written up, catching inconsistencies before the report reaches you.

Report issued

You receive a signed report with clear findings, method, and supporting evidence — ready to use commercially or in a claim.
